BORI RUTKAI (HUN)

Songwriter, painter, illustrator and more. She graduated as a video artist from the visual communication programme of Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in 2001. Since her graduation, she has worked as a musical and visual artist. Her work combines her song lyrics and stories with painted, crocheted and animated forms of expressions. She has two ensembles, Rutkai Bori Banda (for children) and Specko Jedno (for adults), and she is a member of Budapest Bár. Her books published with an audio album for children are Sárkányjárgány (“Dragon Ride”), Pizsamátor (“Pyjamator”) Űrdöngölők (“Space Jig”), Zsebtenger (“Pocket Sea”) Mandulka és a Karácsonyvár (“Almand at Christmas”), and for adults, she created Festménymesék és dalversek (“Storypaintings and Songpoems”).  She is also the designer and director of many music videos and animation films.
