After graduation, I found that developing your own projects is not so evident. It is more difficult to find the time and motivation, so that you are able to make a living and realize your own creative projects. The Hungarian film funding system is not open to original short films, animation series projects made for adults or feature film development. It is good to keep an eye out for foreign animation pitch forums and opportunities. Relevant to this, I will share my experience about the development of Dino Doom on Desert Planet and the way I try to keep a balance in juggling my applied work and the world of the planet Urth.
The activity is part of the CEE Animation Experience, supported by Creative Europe MEDIA and the International Visegrad Fund. Funded by the European Union. Views and opinions expressed are however those of the author(s) only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union or the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA). Neither the European Union nor EACEA can be held responsible for them. The project is co-financed by the Governments of Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from International Visegrad Fund. The mission of the fund is to advance ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.
